Step into the Engine Room and fire up your very own miniature still — this is your chance to craft a spirit with real personality. Gin, rum, vodka… whichever route you choose, you’ll be selecting botanicals, tuning flavours, and coaxing something wonderfully characterful into existence. A spirit that raises a grin before it even hits the glass.

You won’t be left to wrestle the cogs alone. Your guide is an experienced distiller formerly of Nelson’s Distillery — the award‑winning experience known across the industry for doing things properly. That same precision, passion and playful curiosity now fuels every workshop we run at Chuckle Engine.

It’s relaxed, hands‑on, and just the right amount of cheeky. By the end, you won’t just understand the craft — you’ll walk out with a bottle of your own creation, built from scratch, balanced to your taste, and proudly stamped with your ingenuity.

What’s Included in Your Chuckle Engine Distilling Experience

• A full 3‑hour, hands‑on distilling adventure for two (1 x 70cl bottle between you) Step into the Engine Room, fire up your still, and craft a spirit with real character.
• Three tasting samples from the Chuckle Engine range for each person attending.  One vodka, one rum, one gin - a little guided inspiration whilst you build your own masterpiece.
• Snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout Keep the cogs turning with refreshments on hand while you work.
• Choose from 40 botanicals Build your own flavour profile from a treasure trove of spices, citrus, herbs, roots and curiosities.
• Distil your own 70cl bottle of spirit from scratch (1 x 70cl bottle between you).  Balance, tweak, taste, adjust - this is your creation, your way.
• Take home your finished bottle A proper little number, crafted by you, distilled by you and guaranteed to raise a grin.

Access - 

Directions:

By Car.  Globe ECO Centre is located in the heart of the wonderful market town of Uttoxeter.  There is ample, all-day parking in Silver Street car park which is directly opposite the Globe ECO Centre building.  

By Train.  Uttoxeter train station is serviced by most major routes and is only a 10 minute walk to the Globe ECO Centre.  Head from the train station towards Waitrose.  Walk up the hill past Waitrose towards the cenotaph.  At the cenotaph you shall see a passage between the buildings on the left of Dominos.  Walk through there and across the car park.  On exiting the car park you shall see the Globe on your left.
